Depends which symphony, but generally it would be a tuxedo for the man and floor length gown for a woman.
If you are going with a male companion of some sort, you can go off what he is wearing. If tux, then gown. If suit, Very nice cocktail dress to gown. Coat and slacks nice cocktail dress to very nice cocktail dress.

Anything that u would consider semi-formal to formal. U should have a nice dress on or if u prefer a very nice top with a skirt or pants with dress shoes. Something elegant but not too too flashy r something considered Club clothing. U can wear a full length gown but don't go overboard with accessories. Have a great time.

anything black but comfortable as you will be sitting still for hours
knee length or beyond is okay. even pants are depending on the symphony but NO shorts or jeans. Better to be a bit over dressed than under.

with sheer tights and black high heels
