Ok this has always bugged me but why is it that if someone doesnt pay there taxes they get sent to jail but a women who kills her 5 kids by drowning them go's to a mental house to get treatment for her so called "deppresion"...and once the doctors feel shes ok they will let her go...not only that the mental house has movie night vistors can come anytime...and they teach dance classes!!! is it me or is this complete BULL!

yes it's total crap, i don't care why you do something, if it's a crime do the time, plus almost all rehabilitated people recommit within 5 years or less.

The IRS is more powerful.
Very few people go to prison for tax evasion. Unless you're a celebrity.
The famous gangster Al Capone went to prison because of tax evasion. The police couldn't find anything to pin on him that would stick. But the IRS did.
As for Andrea Yates (?). I believe she truly is nuts. I don't think she will ever be well enough to leave. She's probably better off.
I think if she ever gets her mind back and fully realizes what she did to her children, I'm betting on suicide.
Either way, she's gone.

To kill your own children is a grave offense. Highly unnatural too since why would anyone want to kill their own? lt is also an indication of a mental illness (severe post-partum blues is considered as such).
The court puts a person in jail who in their right mind commited a crime. Deranged people need psychiatric hospitals to help them as they are not in their right mind when they commited a crime.
Many do not agree on this but we should remember that the law is for everyone - sane or not.

Who went 2 jail depends if they didn't pay and it was large amount owed. Who does that affect? - many people. Any 1 caught /confes 2 drowning kids may b insane & must b treated 4 illness not jailed.

I BELIEVE THAT POST PARTUM DEPRESSION REALLY EXSISTS, BUT IF YOU KNOW YOU SUFFER FROM THIS CONDITION TO THE POINT OF HAVING SUICIDAL THOUGHTS, THEN DON'T BOTHER HAVING ANYMORE CHILDREN. SHE WENT AND HAD FIVE CHILDREN, KNOWING THAT SHE SUFFERED FROM THIS AFTER HAVING THE FIRST CHILD. I CAN MAYBE SEE HAVING A SECOND CHILD, BUT IF THE DEPRESSION GOT PROGRESSIVELY WORSE, HOW COULD HE HAVE NOT KNOWN NOT TO HAVE ANYMORE CHILDREN? IT JUST SICKENS ME TO NO END HOW THESE MOTHERS CAN KILL THEIR BABIES, AND NOT ONLY THINK THAT THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT, BUT TO ACTUALLY GET AWAY WITH IT.

I think that once she is deemed 'OK" she will be released into prison to serve her time. I do think that that is Bull, if they proved she did it then why not let her do the time?
