How many people dying is it worth to have cheap gasoline?

BTW only about 40% of our oil comes from the middle east.

My choice in transportation is:
a. Walking, and
b. The Bus

My country favors oil over blood, to be certain. But if I had to venture a guess as to how many people will die before we finally admit defeat and pull out, I would say about 800,000. Roughly 90% will be Iraqis and other local people who are either targeted deliberately or are simply 'collateral damage.' About 10% will be US and other foreign 'peacekeepers' who will probably never learn that peace does not grow from the barrel of a weapon.

And considering gas prices were similar before the war began, I tend to wonder if that's even why our people are over there. Maybe nobody knows anymore...
