acrylic nails can damage your nails bc the fake nail is glued to your real nails. although it looks nice, it is painful to take them off. it makes your real nails thinner and can chip off some of your real nails when removing them. but if you have a habit of biting your nails, then acrylics should help u from biting them. it doesnt matter if its your first time or not, it will damage your nails. but if u do it once, the damage wont be as bad compared to getting them done on a regular basis.

i just got my nails done acrylic for the first time this past september. i loved it. they looked so beautiful and perfect that i kept getting them filled until november. then i decided that i probably should save some money and i had let them grow out kind of far so i stopped.
i used nail polish remover for acrylic to take them off and then i filed them. if u use a nail clipper while your nails are still full with acrylic the acrylic will crack. (i tried that) it is not painful just really weird and i immediately had to file it down cuz it made a jagged edge.
when the acrylic is finally removed ur nails are thinner and gritty. because they shave down ur nail before they apply the acrylic.
currently my nails are short and i keep putting strengthening nailpolish on them and they seem to be doing okay... just waiting for this growing out period to end. (it has been over three weeks)
oooh and be careful cuz a friend of mine knew someone who got fungus while she had acrylics so be very careful and clean. try to wash ur nail area as thorough as possible.
*after removing the acrylics, my nails were NOT yellowed just thinner and gritty.

Don't do the acrylic do gel! I've been getting my nails done for a while and I find gel is better than acrylic because it's lighter and much more natural looking. So far I have never had a nail problem!

Yes, your nails are virgins to chemicals. If you do decide to wear them get your fill-ins done on time. Do not wear them to long either, switch up between the acrylic nails and your natural nails every 2 months.

Acrylics are a hassle. They yellow. They ruin your natural nails for awhile. Plus germs buildup in your nails so your prone to get sick more often.

they can damage your real nails
but you shouldn't have a problem as long as you llet the salon only remove them
if you try to remove them yourself you can damage your real nail
