I do not understand why you thing green is the LEAST important color to them when that is the exclusive color that they are. If they were not green, they would all be dead since this is the color that absorbs the very color of sunlight that allows them to live. Why else do you think that green is not important?

Green is only part of the light spectrum that is not absrobed by (green) plants for photosynthesis. All the other colours are absorbed and the energy used to convert carbon dioxide and water into sugar. That would be the sense in which it is not important.

In the process of photosynthesis, certain wavelengths of light is absorbed by the chlorophyll as energy. However, the wavelength of light for green is the least absorbed and reflected to us which we see as green. Since green color doesn't help much with the production of energy, it is conidered the least important color.

Don't ask me why plants don't absorb the wavelength for green, ask the photo system in chlorophyll.

I don't really understand your question but here's a quick fact...

You know how leaves turn yellow or orange in fall? Those bright colors are their natural colors. The green is really a chemical called chlorophyl. When cool weather comes, the chemical wears off and the leave's natual colors come back.

Actually the reason why plants are green is because they absorb light around the red wavelength mostly. Green light is reflected. And from my Art and Craft lessons, green and red are clashing colours.

Chlorophyll which gives the plants the green color reflects it. Green just doesn't have the energy to carry out photosynthesis.

the color you see is whats reflected. white reflects all wave lengths so to a plant the reflect all but green. or at least something like that

does anyone wonder..if the colours we see arent actually what they are? if we see a red apple, is it red because the apple doesnt absorb the red light. so what colour is it actually... (o_O)? does anyone wonder how life will be changed or "re" defined if this is true. why should i care for a new pink Vaio ? if it doesnt exist.
is it the end of the world????? LOL
