I have noticed that every time I have sex with my husband I have pain in my back that seems to come and go. I am 32 weeks pregnant. Anyone else out there experienced this? The doctor checked me today and said that I was not dialated but that the baby was moving into the birth canal.

My guess would be minor Braxton Hicks Contractions. I remember having sex late in my first pregnancy and the orgasm gave me such cramps or contractions that I thought I had done some damage. Once I could calm down the pain went away and there was no problem. I don't remember the point at which you are supposed to stop having sex, but if it makes you uncomfortable, I would stop.

Peace!

Towards the end of my last pregnancy, I experienced back and hip pain after sex. I blame the hormones that make your ligaments more loose in preparation for the birth. It would usually hurt after sex and sometimes the next day. I had to be careful walking right after sex. But it was OK.

You can have sex until you go into labor (as my husband liked to point out all the time). You may decide you don't want to....but you also might really miss it in the month after the baby's born ;)

Ok this may be a sacrifice but you should think about holding off on sex until you deliver, in fact I'd say you should have been taking it easy before this. If your husband complains just remind him you are the one bearing the heavy load here.
