Many are not as cynical as I. Iraq's oil production is approx. 2 million barrels a day, of which 500,000 are stolen! ( US Govt. numbers ) As we control the country and the oil fields "for safety," how does someone walk off with 500,000 barrels of oil a day? In pickup trucks perhaps? Let's see, 500,000 x $60/barrel equals 30 million dollars a day. Not bad eh? Multiply that by 3 years and you get over 30 billion dollars. It might be nice to know who has that 30 billion.

We did not have to invade Iraq in order to purchase oil from them, so the answer to this is no. If the U.S. had somehow appropriated the oil fields of Iraq and confiscated all the oil for U.S. consumption, then you might have a point.

when it is said we went in for the oil, I take it as we went in to make it a democracy because with that kind of government in place there our future of trade concerning oil is more feasible. With a democracy in place there oil is less likely to be held over our heads and dangled over us to make us do something they want, because they know we need their oil !!!

Its not about quantity its about control of the markets, destabilization,infrastructure..all the triggers to artificially spike oil prices on a whim.

Hey Bushy is wealthy in oil already. Maybe he wanted to get richer because of the war. Oh we had plenty of resorces in the US but we had to pay out of our butts to get it. Although he might of had a hand in this war to feather his own nest. Just my way of thinking. More we pay at the pumps the more he gets. But one thing that gets me the most is all those soldiers who had to die. You think about that.
