Angela's Ashes is my absolute favourite. It isnt a film noir, but based on the life of author Frank McCourt. Such a great movie. I definately recommend it. Merry Christmas!

Can't think of many Irish film Noir Movies..
The Commitments-The story of the formation of a Soul Band in Inner Dublin,Directed by Alan Parker..Part of Author Roddy Doyle's Dublin based "Barrytown Trilogy" of books featuring one family..the others being the Snapper, and The Van,all worth watching..The Movies are not directly linked like the books,(different families)though Colm Meaney Plays the Father in all of them!
Eat the Peach
Hear My Song
Intermission (Colm Meaney (again) as a Dublin Detective up against Colin Farrell's bad boy...
Michael Collins (Liam Neeson)
Haven't seen-
Mickybo and Me
The Honeymooners (not related to the US TV series)

It's not available on dvd, but you have to check out The Butcher Boy, if you can find it. It's an amazing film, but for some reason it's not well known to most people.

you must see War of the Buttons. it's about this ongoing war between a bunch of boys from rivaling towns in ireland. they plan out and have battles. buttons from the defeated boys clothes are the battle trophies. it's not film-noir, but it's quite enjoyable.
some quotable quotes:
"what's a tosspot?"
"beat your horse, fergus! beat your flamin' horse!"
now you're dying to watch it, yeah? :)

Waking Ned Devine, it's an Irish comedy and it's pretty fantastic. Sorry, couldn't think of any that weren't comedies...
