Trevor Rees-Jones is his name.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Rees-Jones

I recall that shortly after he was released from hospital, he was asked about the accident and he said that he would never be able to remember anything about it and that if he did his life would be in danger. Not surprisingly, that statement was never repeated.

The programme that was broadcast the other night did nothing else but shore up the fact that there was a cover up.

Whatever the cause of the crash, whether deliberate or accidental, there were too many different agencies involved, both French and non-French. The French police made a real mess of securing the scene after the accident and interviewing the ghouls who came down to look and not help.

I guess something as innocent as a bit of rolled up paper in the seatbelt buckle socket would ensure that the seatbelt tab could not be engaged correctly. Wasn't the car crushed soon after and before it was thoroughly checked?

The truth will never be known about the crash that killed Diana, Dodi and their driver Henri Paul.

That story about the paparrazzo who killed himself because he found out his wife was cheating on him and the story his colleague told was just so much BS.

I can just about swallow that they passed five other hospitals because of the trauma facilities at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital. Yet it still took so long to get there and it was less than 4 miles away - BTW, can a trauma surgeon or A&E consultant confirm that even 'slight acceleration' or 'slight deceleration' can lead to cardiac failure?

And if Diana was not wearing her seatbelt, why did she not fly forward and crush Trevor Rees-Jones in the front passenger seat? How did he survive?

But to discover that none (that's right, NONE) of the ELEVEN CCTV cameras on the route that lead to the Pont d'Alma tunnel were working that night ... that's too tough to believe.

Unfortunatly the person who did survive the crash (the bodyguard) remembers next to nothing due to his injuries so really would be pointless having him on the documentary. It may also have been detremetal to his ongoing recovery

One person did survive. They could only speak to the survivor if he himself was willing to be interviewed. My understanding is that he refuses to discuss the "event" due to loss of memory. He was left with severe head injuries in the crash.

Diana wasn't murdered. If she had worn her seat-belt it's likely she would have survived, how could a potential killer have known she wouldn't be wearing it?I'm sure a professional killer would have chosen a more efficient method.

True. Another thing...if there were so many paparazzi following them, wouldn't one of them seen exactly what happened e.g. flash of light, white fiat etc?

he must have realized that to talk about it means risking his safety as he must have be warned by powerful people that he could die in another traffic accident.
