Yes. I stereotype everyone. Most people fit right into it. Stereotypes are mostly true, people just don't like to admit it. I'm sure I'm stereotyped all the time. Because it's obvious what race I am when people look at me, and I act according to personal life experiences.

I think the biggest stereotype is against homosexuals. Especially men. When we hear a man is homosexual, we don't want to hang around him because he might like us. That's so arrogant & stupid. Stereotypes are not true because that's the definition of a stereotype. Stereotypes are ideas held by some individuals about members of particular groups, based solely on membership in that group. They are often used in a negative or prejudicial sense and are frequently used to justify certain discriminatory behaviors.
The stereotype against me is that I'm a thug because I wear cornrows. People are intimidated by because of that. I'm far from that, though.

I am definately guilty. I am black and stereotype all races. Blacks are loud, don't have daddies and consume McDonalds. Whites have no butts, like rock music and their hair stinks. Asians are very intelligent, run liquor/hair supply stores and try to be like white people. Latinos trick up their cars, are short/chubby and wear jean jackets.
I know people in these racial groups who don't fit these stereotypes, but since I don't know all the people in the world I can't help but generalize so that I can make sense of them.

i think we stereotype the people we are around the most. i tend to have many problems with Iraqi's since i spent some time over there. i tend to think they are all bad due to the fact most of them shot at me. most stereotypes are not true but we do them to make us feel better. i get the dumb redneck stereotype alot, i just laugh and give it back to them though.

As an Australian, every American I meet expects me to say "Gee, Crikey, mate, put another shrimp on the barbie!" just like the Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin used to say (may he rest in peace). It's embarrassing.
i'm a gay man, too. when I walk into my local cafe each morning, the owner, Judy, carries on with this REALLY camp voice, and calls me 'darling' or 'honey' and flaps her arms around because she thinks that is how all gay men behave - like girls. That is also embarrassing.
I don't stereotype because as an Australian who has lived in America, and as a gay man, I get stereotyped all the time. It's embarrassing and annoying to me and makes the stereotyper look stupid.

I think we all do this without thinking about it. But it is something that I have really trying to make myself not do, because I dont want to be done this way just because I am about 20lbs over weight. remember dont judge a person till you walk in their shoes.
