Watch DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN with Madonna and you can probably get your outfit there. Perfect 80's outfit.
Another very distinctive outfit in the 80's is the FLASHDANCE movie type with the cut sweatshirt that hangs off the shoulder, leggings and dance shoes, permed hair and a lacey bow on it.

Ooo, an 80s party sounds awsome. You could wear a tee with a vest and jacket (both unbuttoned) a puffy skirt and some serious boots...a poufy 80s style party dress...a skirt with leggings and pumps. Whatever you wear you have to do the big 80s hair. I would go online and try and find some pics.

A lot of the fashion this year is 80's so your laughing! try a bagyy top with a belt hanging on the hip with a miniskirt with leggings underneath. Big hair and lurid makeup enjoy your party oooh and tacky plastic earrings and accessories

Think ValleyGirl, Dirty Dancing & Pretty in Pink. Tights, legwarmers. Off the shoulder sweaters. Acid wash jeans. Neons, thick plastic jewelery, lace gloves, metal belts. Big hair/side ponytails.

Wear spandex pants underneath leg warmers, and wear a loose top that exposes your shoulders. Also, crimp your hair, and put it up in a side-ponytail with a scrunchy. Every article of clothing should be bright colored, as should your makeup. Have fun with it!

Wear some tight pants, a pair of old school vans, you know the ones with the checker pattern, and a tight shirt, and don't forget to flood your pants, and spike your hair.

Wear some Dockers (pants) with a white t-shirt and a "members only" Jacket and If you can find them... Some "Wallabees" (shoes). A mullet (hairdo) would add a nice touch!

Did the invitation or the person who invited you tell you to dress that much? if they didn't, just dress normally. if they did, ask somebody that's older than you or is into the 80's fashion.
