well a 4.7 40 is kinda slow for d-1 standards...at least for receiver, since you say you have good hands....most receivers in d-1 run like 4.5 or faster. those who run like 4.6...such as usc's dwayne jarrett pull it off because of his size and athletic ability.

If your'e planning on playing offense, those numbers just arent good enough for D-1. You have the height and stregnth to only be a DB who could cover taller recievers, but with 4.7 speed you'll probably get toasted by any average D-1 wide reciever. Your best bet is to improve your bench, squat, incline, power clean, and 40 times over the summer. You could probably walk on. My advice would be to play at a JUCO for two years before you try to get in there with the big guns at the D-1 level.

My advice would be to go to JC first. Build up some strength, work on your conditioning , quickness, etc. I have to tell you that you may have a really tough time at it.
I'm 6'2", was 190 lbs. in High School, ran a 4.59 forty, benched 300, squated 400. I was all conference DB 3 times. I'm not even playing college football. I probably would if I went to a D2 or D3 school, but I chose academics and career goals over football.

your speed isnt going to impress anyone, and your strength will not get it done either. Im guessing you got no looks from recruiters if you are here. Your best bet would be to go to a school that isnt great, work your tail off and try to make it as a walk on.

YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TOO! speed up, bulk up, get strong, walk on at JC and eventually you could find yourself at D1 level but it'll take work, be persistent and NO ROIDS. Good Luck Bro.

As a WR? Doubtful, to slow. As a TE? Again doubtful, to small and too slow.
