Yes, I do believe it would be. He is strong when he needs to be, tempered with compassion. If only there were a leader that embodied that charactors traits, what a good place this would be to live.

If Jean-Luc Piccard was president now, this would not be a better place, because without Professor X, Magneto would be in North Korea testing nukes.

Piccard is a fictional character. However, I believe what Piccard stands for and what George W Bush stand for are similar. So, I don't think it would make a difference.

I don't know. Not that he isn't the all time greatest coolest captain ever, and he's great at running the ship, but he's kind of set in his ways. For them to try something really new and revolutionary normally he has to take that suggestion from another crew member. Now, if the rest of the crew could be his cabinet?....Heck's to the Yeah......the world would be great!
