I know that that wii takes the scan disk sd memory card, but does it have to be the one that says wii on it??? or can it be others that are used for cameras?

Pretty much any sandisk(SD) card will work with the Wii. If you have the smaller sandisk cards, like micro instance, you'll need to put it into an SD adapter (should come with the small cards) and then plug that adapter in the wii.

the memory slot for gamecube memory cards is on the top, under the flip-top where the gamecube controllers are plugged in. For the Wii games and accessories, you can buy an optional SD memory card ( the ones for cameras works fine)

No, it does not have to say wii because you can just about use any sd card since you are able to format the memory stick to be compatibe with the wii...I suggest you buy one at frys or on ebay using ebay deal finder. If you do buy a memory card from Ebay your going to need an account, Its fairly asy and proficient. Good luck!

Yes...u can use a scan disk sd memory card. It doesn't have to have Wii on it. And yes you can use ones for cameras as long as it's the right type.

Any SD card will work except an SD card with SDHC. If you're looking around, and it doesn't say it has that, it probably doesn't. Most SD cards over 2gb will have SDHC, but not all.

I asked this question right before "Black Friday" when the 2GB cards were on sale for $20. Everyone said it would work. So I bought 2 of them and I tried them on my Wii and it worked! Don't waste your money on the special Wii cards. They cost more for no reason, except to make money and the white matches the box. ^_^

I used a mini SD card for a phone, works great, yes you can use yours, there is also a feature that will let you edit pictures... well paint on them
