Read carefully.U r travelling with one potato,a sheep and a lion.U came to a lake which has a little boat and only u and one item can cross at a time.If u leave with the lion,the sheep will eat the potato,if u take the potato,the lion will eat the sheep.(when u r around nothing happens)How will u cross safely to the other side,one item at a time?Remember the lion will not eat the potato.

3rd trip - Take the potato, leave it with the lion, return
4th trip - Take the sheep

1. Take the sheep across.
2. Take the potato across.
3. On this return trip, take the sheep with you.
4. Leave the sheep where in atrted out at, and take the lion.

You take the sheep first leaving the lion and potato. Then you come back for the lion, take the sheep back with you and drop it off. Then you take the potato with the lion and leave the sheep there. After, you come back for the sheep and take it with the rest. Voila!

you take over the sheep first and go back for the potato when you get to the other side take back the sheep and bring the lion and then go back across for the sheep

Take the sheep over, then take the potato, leave potato but take sheep back across and leave sheep where you started, take lion across and then go back and get sheep again. Done

1.first you take the sheep to the other side
2.then go back by yourself
3.then take the potato and take it to the sheeps side.
4.before u leave that side, take the sheep with you to the side with the lion.
5. before you leave THAT side, take the lion to the side with the potato.
6. now take the sheep with you to the other side and you are done

since the answer has already been given I am going to fool around, and say throw the potato to the other side, and then take the lion and then come back for the sheep. ^_^
