If I came up with a new word with pronunciation
and definition how would I get it put in a dictionary?

Dictionaries such as Websters employ lexicographers who constantly review new and vogue words before including them when new editions are published. Neologists sometimes submit words for review.

The word has to become common in everyday language..

For example the word "google" was added this year, but only after it had basically become part of everybody's vocabulary e.g. Just Google it.

But generally, if you make up a word, it's not going to appear in the dictionary unless it gets incorporated into mainstream speaking..

Although there is an online dictionary for words you've made up...

- Go to your school library. - Open up the dictionary to the letter W. - Use a Sharpie to write the made-up word "Wazinga" and whatever definition you have created for it. - Burn all other existing copies of the dictionary. - Ta-da!

i'm not sure... but i think it's not that simple to just add ANY new word into the dictionary... needs people's opinions and discussions...
