Choanocytes(Collard cells) capture the food with the help of flagellum. Digestion is intracellular that is within the choanocytes. This digestion is partial.Partly digested food particles are received by the amoebocytes associated with the choanocytes and final digestion takes place within the amoebocytes.

It's collar cells or choanocytes which captures the food. Because flame cells are characteristic of planaria. Ameobocytes for protozoa, Cnidocytes are for coelentrata, sponges dont have a phogocytic nutrition.
