Well, this happened to me quite a number of times really, but one thing that sticks even up until now is this one particular person whom I worked with in my first job.
I don't actually hate her but I don't like her either simply because she's a loud mouth, tends to curse a lot, and is so angry -- at the world, at her parents, her family, her ex (you get my point).
One time, we got the chance to actually have a decent conversation, and I was surprised to know that she's not all whom I thought she was. Yes, she's still a loud mouth and she curses, but there's more to her than that. I failed to see beyond because I was so focused on the things I didn't like about her.
But eventually we became friends and she's a very loyal one, I might add. :)

Hate is a strong word.
I have disliked someone and was actually scared of her because of things I had heard before I ever knew her. That was 5 years ago and now she is one of my closest friends!
I have learned to not listen to what people say about other people. Unless I witness something with y own eyes, I don't believe it anymore.

Not necessarily "hate," since that's a pretty strong emotion. I've found, though, that I tend to not like people that I don't know, but then grow to like them as I get to know them. It's kind of weird, but that's how it happens for me.

Yes! We hated each other so much, I suddenly realized that i loved fighting with him and asked him to marry me. Needless to say, he ran as fast as he could in the opposite direction. â¥
