I can't belive I'm even answering this, but as I posted in my profile, I'm computer illiterate, and to ask more questions, I have to answere some first, so here goes. You have to push 1 because English is the #1 language in America. So really, they're enforcing the fact that you'r #1. How good do you feel?

I really don't know! I hate this too. When I call my banks 800 number I have to do this or I gotta listen to it in Spanish! Um...why should we have to when English is really the main language in this country. Why not press 1 for spanish or something. This is a good question though.

That's not nearly as interesting as why we press 2 and get Spanish. Why not Dutch?

No, wait... the Dutch aren't over here trying to call Social Services, is that it? Or, if they ARE, they are pressing 1.
