I am much more self confident....
I was bullied alot, and I ended up being envied by the people I envied...I was lucky, 2 of the main bullies told me that I was the best person they knew about one year out of High School..
and instead of thanking them or gushing on about how mean they were to me, I just smiled and walked away and left them with their jaws hanging down...

I am more open.
Thanks for asking because I was thinking about that myself the other day as I interviewed for an oreintation position for my university.
I have changed by learning to open up to people more, be brave if you will. It just diffrent when you are in HS. HS molds people, and so does your family. Rightly so, because you need a basis and value system to make it throught this world and even college. All College does is make you question the value or your...values ( and beliefs). Growing up I remember my dad always telling me to be bold, but I also remember being afraid of him and that made me timid and scared. He has a loud booming voice so it seems he's always yelling, and that scares kids. If you've ever been raised afraid of a parent you get what Im trying to say. Being away from that kind of influence has allowed me to do whatever I want, and Im taking on leadership roles and responsibilieties that would not have worked out if I was still under his roof.
I also challenged my religion and how much that means to me. Im pentecostal, but I have been going to catholic church the last semester because its easier to get there ( 15 min walk vs. 2 hour ride) and because I went to a catholic HS and believe in what they teach and stand for. The catholic church is more than its priest, it takes such a real world approach to religion, christ and faith that it blows me away. Its allowed me to look beyond practices and into faith by works. I realize Im diffrent from what my parents believe, simpley because we were not raised the same way.
And heck, I've heard pentecostalism is concidered a cult in some places. And I can agree with why.

It's been 30 years since high school for me. You can well imagine the changes - everything gets pulled down by gravity!! LOL I think I've matured a lot and I don't have the anxieties I used to have about life. I'm learning to accept things more and stop being angry about what I can't change.
To live in the moment instead of always wanting something more.

I now focus more on developing meaningful friendships. Also, my appearance has changed since high school; I have a longer hairstyle and I had LASIK done on my eyes.

I was not popular in high school and because of that, I was miserable. Now I am much more comfortable with myself and realize that being something in high school doesn't mean much in the real world.

Physically: I cut my hair short and dyed it brown, and got contacts.
Mentally: I've overcome a lot of my shyness and gained more self-confidence.
