Why would it be that animal? Are there any unfortunate possible side effects?

None that really creeps me out. Reminds me of people who get their tongue split in two like a snake. Both sides of their tongue can move independently....what do you DO with that??

A galapagos tortoise, because they live practically forever. If the side effects were really bad then I wouldn't want it done.

None, this is something I would prefer not to think about because some crazy scientist somewhere is going to destroy the human race in that manner.
