we live in phila. pa and he says the legel age of consent is 16 is he right for thinking this also is there something wrong with the age gaop

Well, considering that this is America it's therefore considered as wrong by the entire social environment created by the country. That said considering the gap in maturity it makes it taking advantage of a younger person. Although I'm sure the 16 year old knew what they were doing doesn't change things. As the older person he should not have done this knowing the possible consequences of the actions.

Last time I checked the legal age for consent applies to marriage. At 16, she can marry without her parents' permission. However, the law covering unmarried sex still requires her to be over the age of 18, or her parents can go after him on statuatory rape charges. Which is an awful lot of trouble for a little booty call.

Well my ? here is just a fbuddy or are they going out. It depends on to me the mature factor in this some people look at a 16 year old as having no value and no sence but thier are some that does. What every strokes his boat if she was consenting then that is all kool. It just like an older woman liking a younger man. If that is what they like then let them like it.

There is no problem with a 6 yr. age gap and 16 is old enough
for many girls to have sex but I don't know about PA law and
how they look at a 22 / 16 combination..

Every state has different rules and diff laws. So your friend must be right. But did he consider rape? COz if it is not consentual then he can be charged with rape even if the girl is past her twenties.
Now as a friend make an effort to tell him he is a fool and most likely he will continue so stop being a pest and let him do what he does best. He will stop soon when he gets ........ AIDS!

I live in PA and I could be mistaken, but a minor is a minor, if he's over 18 and she is under I think it is rape...
Try to stop it or report him!
