Moziall Firefox 2.0 is getting lot of appreciation. I came to know through its website that they also have an email programme called as Thunderbird 1.5.0.8 which can be used instead of outlook express.

Whats your opinion of using this programme.? Although the website is mentioning so many plus points ... I am really looking suggestions and opinions from the practical users side

I use Thunderbird. It's a pretty good program. It's not a full-blown email program like the full version of Outlook, but it comes pretty close, and certainly beats Express. One of the pluses is the security features it has to prevent scripts inside emails from running. It will block pictures and links inside emails which helps to fight against phishing. It has a junk mail feature that cuts down on inbox traffic.
One thing it does that I dont particularly like, is it will empty the deleted items folder without a confirmation.
Overall though, Thunderbird is a fine program that I vastly prefer over Outlook Express.
