Check the venting for kinks and blockage. Many times people think they are not getting heat but instead the vent is so blocked that there is little or no air flow to carry away the moisture from the clothes.

Remove the vent from the rear of the dryer and run it for two minutes or so and open the door and put your hand inside and check for heat. If you have heat then definitely the vent is blocked. If you still have no heat the dryer is still under warranty so call Sears for service. Clean the vent out anyway if it is blocked because chances are the blocked vent has a lot to do with the breakdown.

We own a Kenmore He4t front loading dryer and we had the same problem about a month after we bought it. Luckily, it was under warranty, so we called out the repairman. It turns out that on these fancy, computerized dryers, you should not use dryer sheets as they cause the wet/dry sensor to malfunction. Our dryer was saying that our clothes were dry when in fact they were still dripping wet. I don't know if that is your problem or not, but you might want to try not using dryer sheets. Also, you could have a blockage in your vent tube or even a problem with your gas line connection. Hope you're able to figure it out. =)

Check the back to see if the metal type hose is connected properly. If it is check to make sure there are no holes or tears in it. If there aren't check to make sure there isn't lint caught deep in the trap. That can cause problems. I know this is pretty obvious but check the controls to make sure you don't have the cycle on low with no heat. My dryer has a setting that just turns clothing that is delicate to remove wrinkles but has very very low heat output. If none of these appear to be a problem then it sounds like your heating element went out on you.

If its electric and is not heating - check your circuit breakers.
The motor will run on one line, but the heater required two lines
of 120V. If the heating element is coming on - check your filter
and if it is clean, pull the duct off the back and see if hot air is
coming out. If it is , then your duct is kinked or stopped up with
something. Anything other than that or if its gas, its probably
beyond your capability. Call for service.

It should still be under warranty. Thats not right.

Mine has lasted 18 years and no problems. It is a Whirlpool, but I understand that now Whirlpool might be made by Matag. You might check online to read some reviews. Sears should Fix it!

Hi Rambo,
If your dryer is only 8 months old it should still be under warranty.
If not!
is it Gas or electric?
If its electric it could be the element.

If you can provide more details I will tell you how to test it with a multimeter.

Have you tried cleaning the Lint filter? Some of the newer units come with an automatic kill if the lint filter is too clogged to prevent fires.
