i was discriminated against and had no legal recourse also. i filed for unemployment and i told the labor board my side of the story. they got me unemployment (it was almost 2/3 my former salary) and the company was in the wrong and had to pay it, but i couldn't sue. i volunteered for a while and then got my CNA license. helping people that really need it is a great cure for depression. it gets you out of the house and gives you a whole different perspective on your life and problems. when you're helping people that can't even turn themselves over in bed your problems get smaller. good luck to you.

talk to an employment lawyer (one from the subway or yellow pages will do, as long as it's a free consultation). even if you 'cannot prove it,' as you say, talking about it will get you revved up and ready to go again.
also, you should give yourself some time off.... take a vacation, so to speak. even if you can't afford to go somewhere, do free or cheap stuff in the City, go out and see the sights you've never seen before. make this the season to remember, so you can look back & say 'i'm so glad i had that lapse in employment cause look at all the cool stuff i did...'
most importantly, visualize positive outcomes in your life and avoid any and all negative thoughts. i just watched a movie last night that is one of these 'change-your-life' movies... it's called 'the secret,' and you can view it online. believe that your goals and realistic dreams will come true... feel them in your life and they will manifest themselves...
and remember that a crisis is really just an opportunity. only an empty basket will hold the treasures that are waiting for you!

If I were you, I would take this time to examine my feelings. Were you passionate about this job? Sometimes, getting fired is a blessing. When I got fired, I felt rejected and helpless about my life. I took some time to consider other avenues, and I found out more about myself.
I would suggest looking within yourself, and examine what you are really passionate about. Then take the time to explore other jobs, and you will find something better.
On the positive side, look at it like they did you a favor. What if you were fired at 60 years old, before retirement. That happens to some people. You have a chance most people don't get. They usually get stuck a job for years that ultimately could care less about them. Good luck!

Sometimes the seemling worse situation becomes a gift... if you can let it.. First let me not minimize the difficulty of the situation you have been through.. it is difficult to feel a connection and care about doing a good job only to get betrayed.. Success is indeed the best revenge. When one door closes, it is because another one is ready to open.
Since 2001 I have been supporting career changers in moving on to creating success.. Depression is real, its oppresive and it hurts.. Activity and living your purpose can ease that considerably. More importantly it allows you to move on.
Best wishes, Join our job leads or Career networks if we can help.. We have been supporting people since 2001 who have lost jobs due to economic or environmental issues outside their control.. What was empowering to them was to realize that their income potential, their talent, and everything they came into job with was intact.. no employer can take that away, but being tired and feeling defeated, can cause us to feel that way.

First of all, Kennedy got fired because of an accumulation of things. Orton wasn't the first superstar he almost injured. Second, he had injuries himself, poorly timed ones that killed two pushes. The incident with Orton was just strike 3. And I think Kennedy's run in TNA just proved that Kennedy is one dimentional. Ok in the ring, and his "charisma" isn't what it was thought to be. Every promo is the same. So no, Barrett won't be fired because that isn't what actually injured Orton, and if they were gonna fire him, they wouldn't give him credit for putting Orton out.

Get some balls darling, it happens. You know you were good, you didn't really identify how you felt about yourself by your job did you...not totally, right? So go get another one, start your own business, pick yourself up and do something!
You might want to read a book called "Letting Go", it will show you a few interesting things you may or may not identify with. The author is Guy Finlay....

You have to redefine your life without this company. You have to find out all your strengths and what you truly enjoy. This may be a freeing experience instead of a crushing one. Sometimes staying forever at one place, one job can be very confining and stifling if you are more creative or innovative. It is devastating at this moment but you will survive and move on.

Move on - whats done is done. Instead of sitting and being mad use that energy to find another job and move on in you life. You cannot waste time and energy on this. I was fired recently and it took me a month to find another job. I was still pissed at the last one and I didn't want to do anything but be mad. They accused my of stealing money from them. They later found the missing receipts I didn't care. Bills add up and your love ones don't want to see you be a bum - trust me.
Move on to something better, GOOD LUCK!

file for unemployment and get free money for about 6-12 months and take a vacation from work. then when you come back, use your knowledge(10+ year experience) that you've gained from the company that fired you and apply for a management position at another similar company.

The first thing you should do is, not procrastinate and start looking for anohther job. If you keep worrying about the past and, don't stop to think about your future, you will waste valuable time, which will put you in a wost positon you are in now.
