Yes, Australia requires an all rounder to take pressure of ageing bowlers such as McGrath and Warne. He can take that odd wicket wen needed (last years series against SA) plus has the potential to be a very handy lower order batsmen that can change a test match in a session.
Hussey will move to 4 and Clarke 5, and Symonds 6.

Just remeber before the last World cup he was on the brink of being dropped, but made a match winning centuary.
He will be a much better player this time around, as some players require a little bit more time to find there feet.

G'day JB1,

Thank you for your question.

I don't know if he is the right man. He has performed well in ODIs but not in tests. We shall see how he performs in the Ashes.

However, selectors are hoping for an all-rounder and someone who can bowl some overs and score some runs. If Shane Watson had been fit, he would have been playing. Andrew Symonds may be bowling when the frontline needs a rest.

Seasons greetings

Yes, Andrew Symonds is a Queenslander so he's automatically a champion!

A great team man. A good batsman. He has till now failed in test matches as opposed to his success in ODI. I wish him all luck and hope he succeds this time. He is right man.
