i'm just wondering about my menstral cycle.
like my periods are SO irregular! it really bothers me.
i haven't had mine for THAT long of a time, so could
that be a reason for being irregular?
i was also thinking that maybe my eating habits
cause irregularness. i'm a vegetarian, so i'm not
the healthiest of people. is this normal?

The fact that you're a vegetarian has a lot to do with it.
You need meat in your diet, especially if you just started your period.
If you would like your period to be regulated, try getting on the birth control pill.
I'm on Ortho Trycycline Lo and my period comes every month at the same time like clockwork.
Hope this helped, just try eating more than veggies 'cause those aren't doing much for you health-wise.

If you haven't been having periods very long, they will probably regulate themselves. It's not uncommon for women when they first start having periods to have them irregularly. Being a vegetarian should actually make you healthier unless you are not eating enough. If you are too skinny it can cause your periods to be irregular. If it really bothers you a doctor can put you on bc pills and they will regulate your periods. If it isn't bothering you...wait a few months and things will probably get better.

Depends on how ''not long'' is? During the first year or so of menses (periods) they are often irregular. Also if you are underweight then your hormones won't be balanced. If you are overweight then you will have an excess of estrogen which will give you heavy periods.

Eat and sleep on a routine and things should straighten out. If not, see your MD.

my periods were always irregular, and the dr's tried everything. When I got married and went on birth control pills they were still that way. I think this could be normal for you, but if i were you I would check with my dr.

not everybody is regular. especially if you have not been menstruating for very long. do you keep up with your cycles? you should. you could consider getting on birth control to regulate your cycles. or there is some other medication if you don't want to be on birth control. i took it in college for like three months and it made my cycles regulate for a few years.
