theres this girl in my school who is an asian. shes popular and kind of pretty, but my friends dont really like her. she got these new shoes that are nikes. I think they look good on her, but they said that nikes arent for asians. i really like nikes, but im asian. should i still get them?? im afraid that they will put me down, because my friends are very straight-forward.

They are made in Korea for christ sakes. Last time i was there I am pretty sure they are considered an Asian country.

It is ridiculous for anyone to say that Nike's are not "for" anyone of any race, ethnicity, etc. If they don't like you because of your shoes, they are not really your friends.

As I told one of my daughters when she wanted to keep up with her friends.
Just be your self & let the others try to keep up with you.
Find nice things to say to people & they will find nice things to say to you.
Choose what you like because you like it not because of what others like.
