Eleanor Rigby is really depressing, but I love the narrative in the song. I love the music too. I find The Long and Winding Road to be their most depressing. It's too slow and meandering, plus it reminds me of their end days right before they broke up :(

Eleanor Rigby was pretty depressing, but the most depressing song by the Beatles was "I'll be happy just to dance with you"...man they sound pathetic in that one.

Hey Jude is pretty depressing if you consider the circumstances
behind the song. It was around the time when John and Cynthia
were getting a divorce, and Yoko Ono entered the equation. It
was a difficult time for young Julian to say the least.
