the president, Ahmadinejad, is not nearly as powerful as the supreme leader... he's crazy, but doesn't really control very much that is important, from what I can tell...

The President is their front man. His job is to whip all the nutjobs into a murderous frenzy. Khamenei sets the fatwahs on what should be done, who should be murdered. Either way, they need to be dealt with and damn soon.


The problems began with Iran way before either Bush was President, in fact, the real heat began to be turned up during the Carter administration. You remember him...the one who blames Israel because the fundie Islamics want them all dead...yeah, it's their fault. :-/
