I throw it away when its finished and when you know you're not going to use it anymore. I dont think it gets old, so I'd still use it.

they say it has a life span of 2 years, but i personally think perfume smells better with age, and that its to benefit companies when they say trough it away.. i have perfumes which are like 15 years old and still wear them to this day.

Perfume is made out of alcohol..if it is truly "perfume" it should be kept in the fridge to keep the scent/if it has been left in the "elements" it has turned sour & will not blend with your chemistry (body scent)..in general my personal rule of thumb is 3 months..Good Luck!`

I've heard the "rule of thumb" is 6 months, then the perfume has lost its potency.
Peace.

the scent of cologne / perfume can still last a very long time, since it's made of alcohol. i've had cologne for over a year and it still had the same strength.
