None of the winner are from West Virginia. Do you mean contestants? Kelly Clarkson is from Fort Worth, Texas. Justin Guarini is from Columbus, Georgia. Ruben Studdard is from Birmingham, Alabama. Fantasia is from High Point, North Carolina. Carrie Underwood is from Muskogee/Checotah, Oklahoma. Last but certainly not least, Taylor Hicks is from Birmingham, Alabama as well.
