Yes, but they will have to be able to keep all those young guys together and not lose them to free agency.

IF they could keep the core young players together, I'd say yes. Unfortunately, It's looking like one or more of these guys is going to be lost to free agency due to the salary cap.
And even if this group of players does win a Stanley Cup in the next five years, it may not be as a team called the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Don't get me wrong I have really come to admire the Pens. That game the other night against the Caps was amazing. They have the ability to not let a big deficet get them down and I believe that is a huge factor in post season success. It is a quality my beloved Sabs have and I see it in the Pens.
I think they could win it--but sadly I wouldn't bet the farm that they will be the Pens when they do...
Great team, great chemistry and the Fluery surprises me every time I see him play!

No. Because they will probably end up being the Winnepeg Penguins or some other city that has a bid for a team.

Once the Penguins move to their new owners city of Waterloo, and rename themselves the Waterloo Blackberries, a new dynasty will begin.

They'll be right there. Maybe a couple of years after that. If they can hold on to these young superstars they should be alright since all of these guys will be in their prime.

They seem to be building a great team. They should be pretty close in 5 years if all goes well.

yes they could win it, but I don't think they will be in Pittsburgh in the next 5 years, they might be gone in the next 2 years. things aren't looking good for the Pens.

They need to stop giving up an average of 33 shots per game first.
