There is nothing that Google can do, but you can go directly to the source of the content. First go to the author of the page. If that doesn't work, you can go to the hosting service. Once that page or site is shutdown, you will not see it in Google anywhere from 1-2 months. It depends on the web site.

While it can be a hopeless battle, it is worth a try, if the comments are so bothersome.

Write a letter to the owner of the Web site who is publishing the libelous material about you. Document every step you take, and then call an attorney. I have provided a couple of links for you to read, regarding the issue of libel on the Internet.
