As Yogi is to baseball John Madden is to football. He is a colorful commentator. Although, I have noticed his skills have diminished a bit in the last few years. However, he is still my favorite color guy.
If you took a poll I think the vote would be overwhelmingly in favor of returning Michaels and Madden to Monday Night Football.

That's not really John Madden. The real John Madden died 7 years ago and has been replaced with animatronics. That is why he repeats things over and over.

Madden is an awesome guy and great football coach. Much can be learned from this Super Bowl winning Oakland Raider leader.

He used to...but then I started listening to other football announcers and other than Chris Collingsworth, Al Michaels, and Madden everyone else really sucks. So I've learned to deal with it. The man knows alot about football, even if he's getting soft in the head.

I can`t stand Madden!!! I call him Captain Obvious because all he does is tell you exactly what happened on the play!! I just watched the friggin play and I don`t need you to tell me what happened, especially with instant replay involved. If thats all he can do, I wish he would just go to radio where he belongs!!!

Haha, That is so true. I've noticed how he also picks a random "word," to describe every single play. He will use this made up word throughout the game. It's quite fun to watch football with him commentating.

Captain Obvious? Yeah, a little!
But sometimes he'll say something, and then it'll happen right there on the field. He's obviously brilliant.
He's better than Dan Dierdorf. I know that much.....

Well, maybe a little. He is an institution in football, a hall of a fame coach. I hate how he points out the obvious during games, but I will miss him when he is gone.

"What a team must do in order to win the game, is score more points than their opponent."
Just kidding, I think the guy is one of the best we have. Definately better than Kornheiser(however you spell it). Kornheiser is great on PTI, but I think he's miscast on MNF.
