Gays and lesbians can get married in Massachusetts, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and South Africa.
Gay and lesbian civil unions are legal in Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, some regions in Italy and the United Kingdom. Also, the US states of California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey, and Vermont; and the U.S. District of Columbia (Washington, DC) recognize civil unions.

Dont bother getting married if you dont live in the states mentioned. Your marraige will be pointless since the other states dont recognize the civil union rights when you come back home after your nuptuals. Either wait a decade or so or leave the states for a scandinavian liberal paradise.

The only state in the U.S. is Massachusetts, but you have to be a resident. Canada does not have the same residency requirement. Gay marriage is also legal in The U.K and Spain.

thier is a few places such as canada mexico and some others that people have mentioned but SF they dont alow gay marraige anymore just a one day deal they had :(
