No. Trudat is a central character in the 1756 Novella by Jacques De Plume of Paris, France, entitled "Une Mort Sans Consequence." Trudat was an ugly little beggar with a dripping nose who fell in love with a beautiful girl. When she cannot stand his body odor, he drowns himself in the river.
