yeah, the 2-hour movie could only take up ONLY 1GB, but is that space permanently lost once your put it on your ipod? will you get it back once you take the movie off of it?

once you get it off your i pod library (on itunes) it should delete and you will get your memory back (same with songs)

Yes you do get the GB back once you delete the movie. This also happens with anything else you put on the iPod

YES.

When you delete the movie it gives the device permission to write new data over the spot where the other information was. That is true of any electronic gadget whether it be a computer a digital camera, an Ipod, etc...

No. Its not lost permanently. It is restored when you delete the movie . And an Ipod movie doesnt take as much as 1 GB . Its slighly less than that .

yes of course
its like filling your cup with water
then if you decide to drink the content
then its considered gone but the cup is still there
you can still replace its contents and its capacity will not change

like with your ipod
when you place a movie
you consume a certain disk space
after deleting the movie
you will gain the disk space which was originally consumed

You get it back. just like if you take songs off, you get that space back also.

of course it comes off.. otherwise you would have to buy a new one every time you fill up your memory..
