i don't think that there's any difference between businessmen and the common man in paying for sex.
what you might be thinking of is a little different. businessmen like to have a trophy woman at their side in restaurants and other places that their rivals hang out in. if he is at a convention out of town, he just might pay an escort service to provide such a looker. he may or may not pay her to have sex with him after the function. men, any men, WILL spend their money on the "right looker" to be at their side, maybe not TO them, but on dinners and such.

I would not say that MOST business men pay for sex. I wouldn't even say most MEN pay for sex. I will agree that some men pay for sex, which means some women are accepting payment for sex (prostitution).
Why do some men pay for sex? I have never understood that myself. I think to some the act is a challenge. Some men have low self esteem, and these women make them feel better, for some reason.
I am sure there are books written on the subject.
