In my opinion the possibility of life on other planets is very high. Think about it, every star that you see in the sky is another solar system, and we are one planet, in one solar system, in one galaxy of TONS of other galaxies in the universe. What are the chances, that our planet was the only one to have the right conditions for life to start.
As for what they look like, I do not really have much of an idea, but I would not be surprised to find similar creatures to ones on our own diverse planet.

It's possible. Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" has a chapter devoted to this, and comes up with an estimate of the number of planets that could have life at least as intellegent as our own. As for the solar system, outside of earth, life may be possible, but the probability seems for it to be pretty primative (bacteria, yeast, etc.)

The possibility of life on another planet, in my opinion, has got to be as real as you and me. If were here, who's to say there isn't another planet far, far, away that supports living organisms. It just freaks me out, that there might be planets that might be pre-mature or more advanced than our planet earth.
