I'm super hot, do you think it would be a good place for me?

Humid, humid, humid!

How can we determine if it's a good place for you based on "I'm super hot"?

I have to disagree with G on many points. I attended Florida International University in Miami and it is a great school. As a matter of fact their Law School just got approval in record time. The weather is very hot in the summer but the beaches are my favorite in all of Florida. Plus, if you live on campus at FIU they have a pool right at the dorms which is nice. You'll have to have some restraint though because the party life on South Beach is really kicking. Be careful not to party toooo much...LOL. Also, you will be only a few hours from Key West which is an awesome place to escape the fast pace of city life. I have lived in Miami, Orlando, and the Tampa area and Miami is by far my favorite. The food in Miami is spectacular (lots of great and cheap Cuban places) and I think the people are nice. Be prepared to be bombarded with Spanish too. Do like I did and use it to your advantage. It is very easy to pick up the language and the Latin community loves seeing you try and speak it. I do agree with G about the bad neighborhoods...they are pretty isolated and I never went through any of them in my 3 years there. The rest of Miami is pretty safe for a big city. I hope this helps...let me know if you have any more specific questions!

the schools i know of in miami aren't that good. university of miami and florida international are both far from great places to earn paper from. call professionals in the field you want to work in.and ask them for schools to go to -- don't just listen to schools that pimp themselves. miami in my opinion is overrated and over glamorized. if you go its kind of a big dump. but its not that criminal as long as you stay out of the bad areas. the bad parts -- like liberty city -- are proabably some of the worst in the united states -- but they are very isolated.

Humid as hell! I liked it, but then again I didn't. If you don't like your average temps in the 90's with 100% humidity, don't go.
