Volume of cylinder is 2pi * radius^2 multiplied by height
1296 pi = 2 * pi * r^2 * 9
72 = r^2
or r = 6 root 2
or r = 6*1.414
or r = 8.485 units

Please use "pi" for 3.1416....

Right cylinder volume V = pi r^2 h
Then 1296 pi = 9 pi r^2
Dividing thru 144 = r^2
So r = 12

V=1296π=πr^2 h=πr^2*9
144=r^2
r=12

(pi * r) squared * H = V

(pi * r)squared * 9 = 1296 pi

divide by 9

(pi * r) squared = 144pi

take the square root of each side

pi * r = 12 pi

divide by pi and they cancel

r = 12
