They have been GREAT so far. Yahoo loves them.
Here's why they hate:
1. It's all been at HOME. Few road games.
2. People hate Kobe, and still play the rapist card.
3. People hate LA in general, be it from Celtic days, Shaq days, Hollywood, Showtime, whatever.
4. LA is the highest media draw, and is in everyone's face. They are sick of the NBA hype machine pumping Shaq-Kobe at Christmas, or Lakers-this-Lakers-that.
Lakers will finish with the 2 or 3 seed in the West and fight for the title. Phil IS that good.

because everyone thinks the clippers are the team in la now... little does everyone know, this laker team has been together now for 2 years... don't you think that's adequate time to learn the triangle and to get to know your teammates tendencies on the floor... that's why the suns don't have a chance against the lake show this year...

They still need to earn it. The season is still very young and it has a long way to go. Give it time; if they keep playing like this, people will start giving them credit.

and because people are haters, and if your really stubborn you cant admit things, thats why no one will admit that lakers deserve all the credit...
but lakers are a very talented team with great potential, plus kobe is not a ballhog and a very unselfish player... anyone who denies that is stubborn

we just beat houston away. we beat san antonio. we beat the jazz. when will people reconize us as a finals contender. we have three players averaging double digits. kobe is not doing it all
