VERY VERY careful I have actually heard of this scam before. whatever you do never NEVER send them any money under any circumstances.Even if they send you a check that cashes at the bank.do not spend it you will only wind up paying it back

Yes it is junk mail. Dont send them any money at all. If it came with what looks like a real check, make a photocopy of it. The copy will come out with words written diagonally across it saying, "This check is not valid". Or other similar words.

Yes, it is unless you have recently played the Austrailian International Lottery Programme and were told you would be notified by email. (just being sarcastic there)

You are just an idiot! I am sorry and it is legal to say whatever you want but you have to use common sense it is too god to be true and it is not true. You will find they want you to send some money and I would love it if you are giving money away to send me some. I do not expect it and you will never get any money that way unfortunately.

Why did they contact you as a winner ?

It's a scam, that's why. Ignore it. You will get screwed.

If you receive notice you have won anything you have not entered...its junk. No exceptions. Remember this, life lesson #1.

Such e-mails are ALL frauds. They are part of the Nigerian "419" scams, even if they don't come from Africa: http://www.joewein.net/419/419scam.htm
