I've found in research that condoms are 98-99% effective at preventing pregnancy. I think that's pretty good, but I wonder about that 1-2%. Has anyone here ever gotten pregnant even though they were using condoms consistently?

Ha, I got pregnant while using condoms every time AND I was on the pill when I got pregnant with my beautiful baby girl. She is 8 months old now. I just found out that I was pregnant again, and we were using just condoms. Both of them are definately meant to be.

um...well i was using a condom about half way thrugh the first half though. but i guess it could be possible. i don't see how unless it had a hole in it or like so much filled the condoms that some splashed out. or if you didn't use it to begin with and some pre-sperm got in there.

I've never had an unplanned pregnancy, but I know other people who have even though they used a condom.

I'm 26weeks with # 5 and we were using condoms!!!
although it was a shock when i found out i was expecting again he is very much wanted and i saw it at as blessing.
i wont be taking the chance again hubby is having the snip and I'm still gonna take BC!!!

I HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD AND WE USED A CONDOM! i ALSO KNOW MANY FRIENDS THAT HAD A SECOND OR THIRD CHILD WHILE USING ONE. BEST BET IS TO USE 2 FORMS OF BC LIKE A CONDOM & THE PILL
