I do, because I drive defensively and try to give other drivers a break rather than being right just to be right. Its a privilege to drive and I would just plain die if I harmed anyone because of my lack of care.

Yes, I do. I drive past all these people getting pulled over by the police and or have been in a wreck or run stop signs or something like that almost everyday. Then, I see all these freshman driving around, trying to peel out as they leave the school parking lot and blowing a tire or something. There were 6 wrecks all caused by freshman trying to show off on the first day of school and 12 later through out the semester. I am 16 years old. I have been driving for a little more than a year. Although I haven't had much experience. I have never gotten a ticket for anything, I've never ran a red light, and I've even had several people say I was an excellent driver when I followed them to a town or gave someone a ride somewhere. I take pride in my ability to drive efficiently.

Your questioning the one thing that binds the human race together! We ALL think we're a better driver than the average person.

You, however, didn't define what you consider to be a good driver.

My definition of a good driver is one who stays out of my way. Everyone who fails to meet this criterion is either a slow-poke or a moron. But I am not without tolerance! There is a place for slow-pokes and morons, and that place is BEHIND ME.

I make it a policy to put slow-pokes and morons in my rear-view mirror as quickly as possible, and make sure that's where they stay for the remainder of my trip.

Define "better"..

Most people think I drive like a maniac, but I am quite capable of maintaining control of a vehicle at high speeds.

Most people however would find my actions "unsafe" making me a "bad driver".
