Anti-Hitler, anti-Nazi, and out of their minds to consider speaking to Iranian President of the moment, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Iran has been at war with us since 1979. They never recinded their declaration, and Ahmadinejad continues to throw inflamatory declarations of war into the international airwaves. With impunity, it seems! No one wants to stop him. No one will. He and Kim Jung ill can and will do whatever they want. No one cares enough to see the big picture and plan for our protection. Big USA. We are full of hubris to think if we shrug our shoulders and turn away, the problem will resolve itself.
From Rick Santorum's speech below:
"How could it be that a bitterly divided Washington has suddenly come to a consensus that will surely lead us on a path to failure in Iraq, and then to even more disastrous consequences? Can our country’s leaders really have concluded that the public’s discontent with the war in Iraq changes even one bit the nature of the threat our enemy poses to us?"
The threat doesn't change because we voted in our country.
Our country's vote does not deter the radicals at war who will kill us.
The world does not revolve around the United States.
Dont let Islamic war time psychops affect you. They're winning. Americans have become so gullible in their secure, rich, and comfortable country. It's sad to see Americans...really fat. Now I see the damage. We're lazy. We have become weak. We aren't representing courage to the world. We're weak, and the radical Islamic fascists will kill us. We're like sitting ducks.

Nobody said they liked the situation in Iran, or theocracies in general. Some of us simply feel fostering the democratic movements that are present in Iran is just a more positive approach than isolating and antagonizing the government - in which case we lose any influence on what goes on in Iran, except through military action, and giving present involvement in Iraq, you'd have to be crazy, or downright stupid to think that's the answer.

We "negotiated" with the soviet Union even when it was described as the evil empire. So depends what you say in those negotiations.Negotiating doesn't have to mean surrender or even respect.Don't think anyone in the West should respect the Iranian leadership

Obviously not. These are usually the same people who compare Bush to Hitler which IMHO is tantamount to holocaust denial since it trivializes what happened in WW II.
Kind of makes you think, doesn't it?
