I'm 38 wks pg and I'm not sure if my waters broken or not.

It feels like you pee'd your pants.......Sometimes labor pains (faint) will start........

Don't pay attention to the last response. Nothing like in the movies. My first preg. my water didn't break. Second one, defnitely. I knew it would because I had the worse discharge for two weeks prior (the mucous plug). It was GROSS!! It won't happen while you are sitting because of the pressure. I was sitting down when suddenly I stood up and I felt a generous trinkle. I knew it couldn't be urine bc I had just used the bathroom not even 15 min. prior (and wiped what was probably the last of the mucous....it comes off when you wipe if you are nearing labor...but if you don't have excessive discharge, you probl. won't break). So, anyway, I stood still unsure of what it was and when I moved my leg again, it was major water! Every time I moved my legs it came out, so I stood still until my husband brought me a towel. You must keep the towel between your legs to keep it from coming out. I rode like this all the way to the hospital, but it only came out when I moved. Pretty gross when you think about it, but it doesn't smell or stain. If it looks dark, rush to the hospital because it could be the baby pooped and that is very dangerous. So, if it breaks, look at it right away and if you have a towel, keep it so the doctors can look at it.

For me it was a gush but everyone's different you could also trickle. But don't worry about whether or not you'll know when it happens there are many things that could happen to let you know if your in labour. Some people lose there plug which is a slimy type discharge or some bleed a little or alot and some just get contractions you'll know real contractions from minor ones believe me they will be unbareable. If your that worried call your doctor or the hospital triage room.

Mine was never (2 babies) the movie style gush rather a very slow trickel. You can put on clean panties and jump up & down a few times if you have a spot it is usually your water. But if you think it may be you should go to L&D to be checked out if it is they will admit you. You need to go as having your waterruptured for too long can cause serious infection to you & baby. Mine was just a trickle, so I went pee, wiped, was done, and stood up, and it leaked out again- another trickle... then I knew it had to be because I didn't have to pee anymore! :) You might also get hard contractions here soon where you can't breathe, talk, or walk or do anything- anyways, if you think your water has broken, go to the hospital to prevent infection... goodluck!

You will feel like a river just came out of you! It will be clear (usually) and very warm. If this has occurred you need to get to the hospital. If you wait to long, you risk infection for you and the baby! Good luck!

You will know when your water breaks its like you are peeing yourself very unexpected. When that happens imminently call an ambulance or get straight to a hospital.

Call the hospital if you have to and get advice before coming in. You'll need to decide if the $60 emergency room visit is worth the life of your child. :) Not a rough one.

When the gushing and wetness is too much for a towel..........it's broken honey.........just a pad or a panty liner wouldn't do justice for you if your water has broken. The more u move.....the more will come out if it's broken.

MY WATER BROKE THE DAY IT DID I FELT BETTER THEN NORMAL I WASNT TIRED OR ANYTHING BUT I WENT TO THE BATHROOM TO PEE MY BF WAS IN THERE WITH ME THEN I RETURNED TO MAKING MY RAMON NOODLES AND TURNED AROUND TO THROW SOMETHING A WAY AND I FELT A LITTLE TRICKLE DOWN MY LEG SO I WENT TO THE BATHROOM AGIAN CHANGED MY PANTS AND IT JUST KEPT TRICKLING DOWN MY LEG NO BIG GUSH OR ANYTHING JUST FELT LIKE I WAS PEEING DOWN MY LEG AND MORE CAME OUT IF I MOVED FUNNY SO GOOD LUCK IT CHOULD BE
