I would say go there 2 to 3 hours before the store opens to be safe and if you think you don't mind waking up earlier, going a bit earlier then 3 hours to do a check of the store you plan to purchace it at and nearby stores that you know will be getting them in to know where you would be able to be in line and know you would get one.

I waited about 3 hours outside the store I bought my Wii from on the launch date but I know Best Buy had already a long line before I went to the Toys r' us I got it from. So from my experience, if you know stores such as Toys R Us or other then the really big store such as BestBuy are getting them at that day I'd say try them, maybe passing by Best Buy if you can to scope it to see and get an idea of the scope of people yo uwould be dealing with. Althoug the unit has been out for a while, I'd assume since they are still selling out and Christmas is almost here, people are still eagerly trying to buy the unit.

So, again if you are dead seriouse about getting one, get to the store you choose to purchace it from at lest 2 hours in advance to make sure.

Also, if you happen to have a WallMart near by thats a 24 hour store you could try calling there, I know when the Wii came out the 24 hour store sold theirs the midnight of, so if they were getting some in to sell on Sunday they may be selling them the midnight turning to Sunday as well , and if that's the case, again you'd have to come in a few hours earlier and let them know you are there for that and they might line people up as they did on the release date.

Good luck and hope it helps.

As soon as you see a line start to form.

I suggest checking the store on Saturday late afternoon until the store closes. If at any time there's a line, you should get in line because Best Buy may not be getting a whole lot of Wii. It could be anywhere from a few to maybe many. Give the store a call and find out.

Be sure to get there at LEAST two hours before the store opens. Trust me, you won't mind the cold after driving home with a brand-new wii in the back of your car.

If you really want it, I would camp out over night and wait for stores to open up.

You shouldn't. Instead, get your friend to go there and buy it for you, don't forget to tip him of course!
