I have a Psychology degree (B.S.) so I looked at a reputable college (University of Minnesota) to see the core courses they require for their degrees in Child Psychology:
1) General Psychology plus Introductory Child Psychology
2) Research Methods, Statistics, and Evaluation
3) Social Development and Personality, Cognitive Development
4) Research in Child Psychology and Child Development
5) Children, Youth and Society
6) Behavioral and Emotional Problems of Children
Here's the U of M web site for a BA or BS in Child Psych: http://education.umn.edu/icd/undergrad/earndegree.html
I know I took Intro to Psych, Abnormal Psych, 2 Research courses, Statistics, Women & Psych, & Sociology course.
Good luck!

Whatever college you choose should have a list of the classes you will need. My son is a freshman in college majoring in Engineering. The college he is attending helped him with the classes he would need since he wasn't sure. Good luck and good job for deciding to go to college.
